A few of my Facebook friends have just become aware of what some of my VOX friends already know:
-Yes, I take medications.
For the benefit of my Facebook friends who are just becoming aware of this, I thought I'd briefly explain (again) what I take these medications for.
(Thank you for your continued patience, my VOX friends!!!)
Before you worry TOO much, Recognize the fact that MANY musicians are on medications for similar reasons.
-It DOES NOT make us bad people. -We dive into our music, rather than acting out when we shouldn't.
I am on Coumadin FOR LIFE, because I've had one too many DVT's (Deep-Vein Thrombosis; -Blood Clots), I take a version of Paxil to help my Depression with Psychotic Tendancies. (I, AGAIN, remind you that my tendancies are merely verbal..) I DO love some people, but MANY IDIOTZ make me SWEAR A LOT in uncontrolled-outbursts.
-Thus, the MEDZ.
I take Lortabs to control the pain caused by two herniated disks in my spine: One in the neck, and one in my lumbar region. And lastly, I suffered a partially-collapsed lung in October of 2007, and I have 1st stage Emphysema.
I MUST take my meds to control my anger-fueled outbursts.
-Otherwise, we get what we just had here on Facebook yesterday morning.

Well, (insert your favorite swear here) it. -I enjoyed myself tonight, and that's all that matters today.

I met a certain VIP before the show (and before the two pics I'm ABOUT to show you...)...
-This particular Rik Emmett fan had glossy photographs of Rik from 27 + years ago, nicely stuck to some cardboard, in a nice hand-held, multi-paged "billboard"...
-I thought you might enjoy this VIP's photographs! (See the backstage badges hanging from his neck?) VIP!
On the back, he askes Rik for a pick.
At the end of Rik's show, he DOES humorously reflect on these old pics!!!

-I wonder if this VIP got his autograph and pick....
