Tales From The Crypt: Season VI.
FANTASTIC storytelling, FANTASTIC acting, and some FANTASTIC music in it's score!!!!
-All based on the original comic book stories.
I've heard rumours of a third "Tales From The Crypt Movie", but have yet to see any proof of it.
I'd LOVE to see it, if they do it!!!!
I saw "Demon Knight", when it was first in the theaters, waaaay back then...
I hope there WILL be a part three!!!
C'mon HBO!!!
-We KNOW YOU could afford it!!!
And, of course, this is a three disk set!
DISCLAIMER:
The music I compose, and the things I like to watch are two very different things, k?
-Just so no one is confused, or cun-foosed!
;-)
Finally!!! -The DVD release of Stephen King's "The Mist".
OOoohhhh... Creepy!!!!!
-How well are YOUR local stores stocked?
I was $8.00 short of purchasing the 2-disk Special Edition, like I REALLY wanted, but OH MANNN!!!!!
-Wait'll you see this movie!!!!
Absolutely creepy!!!!
Thank you Stephen King, and staff, for YET ANOTHER fantastic masterpiece!!!!
I just finished "Batman Begins". -Faaaaantastic flick! -I look forward to the Batman release next summer!
Now, for "Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight".
I hope you are enjoying this Halloween at least as much as I am!
-Do be good-natured, and safe in your endeavors tonight!
Edited 2 times. -Once, because I forgot the pictures... (D'oh!)
I don't really celebrate Halloween, but nothing really against it. -It just isn't my thing. Sure, I like the costumes and things that people come up with, but I just don't do it.
Nope, I'm more likely to vege out in front of the tv with some popcorn, a Mountain Dew and a stack of good movies. Besides, the lady's at work tonight. I narrowed down my choices to 10 movie titles.
ha ha ha -There's NO way I could possibly sit and watch all ten of them tonight. -Probably more like three, maybe four.
My Halloween movie lineup of three or four will be chosen from these 10 titles this year, and some of why they were chosen is as follows:
1) An American Werewolf In London (Werewolf)
2) Ravenous (Cannibals)
3) Batman Begins (Scarecrow, Bats and the illusion of Saten)
4) Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight (Demons)
5) Tales From The Crypt: Bordello Of Blood (Vampires)
6) Lord Of Illusions (Magicians, Evil raised from the dead)
7) Dawn Of The Dead (2004) (walking dead)
8) Bram Stoker's Dracula (Lord Of Vampires)
9) Wishmaster (evil Djinn)
10) Sleepy Hollow (headless horseman -Johnny Depp version)
The four I'm going to settle with are:
1) Batman Begins
2) Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight
3) Lord Of Illusions (Director's Cut)
4) Bram Stoker's Dracula
That should keep me busy for a little while, eh?
Happy Halloween to you all, and be safe!!!
I've decided long ago, that it would INDEED be unethical for me to edit a post, and not tell everyone.
I don't edit often, but if I ever do, I will be happy to let you know!
This past hour, I made two changes to my most recent post called "Movie Of The Day", and I made one change in my most recent posting called "Unfinished Business: Lyrics X's 3.
More interesting of the two, is the addition to the challenge I issued to ANY bored, or otherwise intregued "Unfinished Business X's 3" reader.
The changes really don't change much to it's original presentation, but I felt they needed editing.
Happy Voxing!
When the Catholic Church screamed "blasphemy" over this film, I (naturally) couldn't wait to get my hands on it. No, I'm not talking about "Harry Potter"... -I'm talking about
This documentary was quite an eye opener, and I'd recommend it to EVERYONE. -Especially those who claim to have faith. This film won't sway your beliefs in any way, and I don't see why the church made such a big stink over this fantastically coincidental archaeological discovery.
Executive Producer James Cameron, better known for "Titanic", presents this to us not as a ficticious movie, but as an unbiased, and factual documentary of the examination of the contents of a tomb. It's funny the way the church blindly, and ignorantly, blasted James Cameron for this film, when he didn't write it, direct it, shoot it or anything. -All he did was produce it.
In 1980, construction workers in Jerusalem uncovered a first-century tomb containing ten ossuaries (stone coffins). Six, of the ten, bore inscriptions: Jesus son of Joseph, Maria, Mariamene (the name by which Mary Magdalene was known), Joseph, Matthew and Judah son of Jesus. -ALL IN THE SAME UNDISTURBED TOMB.
Dismissed by archaeologists as coincidence, the ossuaries were warehoused and forgotton. -Apartments were constructed over the whole area, but the tomb wasn't destroyed... Just buried.
25 years later, filmmaker Simcha Jacobovici and his team went in search of these ossuaries, and the "lost" tomb.
OMG!!! You have GOT to see this film!!!
How could any church even POSSIBLY have a problem with this fantastic discovery?
Even if this really WAS the Christ family plot, how could it POSSIBLY change anyone's faith? Even the bible says of people "ashes to ashes, dust to dust". Even christians KNOW that peoples bodies decompose, while the spirit goes to heaven (or hell). Finding these particular coffins neither proves, or disproves, christianity in any way. Personally, I think it's pretty COOL to find such inscribed ossuaries. -I see it as proof that people REALLY DID have names like this 2000+ years ago, and these particular names coincide with scripture.
Common names for the time, or not, to find these particular names IN THE SAME TOMB is just fantastic!
-LOTS of info to think about in this film.
Think for yourselves. -Don't just be told.
I finally got to see it this morning, and I think it's great! However, I will also say that this would have made a better Part 4, because of the wide gap between the infection at Racoon City and the global destruction they presented here.
Personally, I think they should have picked up right where two left off, and continued the spread of the T-Virus to surrounding cities, and eventually the globe for their part three... -And, develop her new-found powers some more. (-Don't lie... ALL of us RE fans, and Milla Jovovitch fans, would have paid to see it!!!) THEN jump into this. -Would have made better sense to me, and made for a better overall story.
One thing I didn't understand... These T-Virus infected creatures hunger for flesh, but don't need to eat... -Shouldn't there be more creatures? The infected birds were fantastic, but I think there should have been more of them too. -Like a constant threat, rather than the one-time threat they presented to us.
One thing I really enjoyed was seeing Las Vegas abandoned, and under a ton of sand. he he he (-I lost about $40,000 there, BUT over a 5-year period of time, and included living expenses. -I know, people have done worse...) Milla Jovovitch's "Alice" is the only one, I can recently recall, that went to Vegas and made a killing!
I think you'll enjoy this movie 'tho. -I did!
I watched all three of these, back to back, a couple of days ago... -Hoping for a part four...
I did a search, and found a rumour that part four will be done, and out, in 2009.
Yes, Final Destination. Part one stemmed from a plane crash, part two stemmed from a good traffic accident, and part three stemmed from a roller-coaster crash. -Can't wait to see where four stems from...
They seem a little teen-kiddie oriented, despite how graphic the accidents are, but I still enjoyed them, and I look forward to the next addition to this series. -Hope there's MANY more to come!!!
Also included here, is a picture of a movie I'm watching right now to prepare for the release of part two on June 15th. -The trailers look pretty kewl!
Yeah, the Fantastic Four. This first picture is of the DVD I have. The 2nd is the popcorn bag I got when I went to see "Spiderman 3" at the beginning of last month.
Also to add here, a picture of our movie tix to Spiderman 3 (to put with the DVD when it comes out), and a picture of the Spiderman 3 comic book I got at the theater that night when we went to see it. (-I got two of these comic books!)
