"Lord Of Illusions" was the scary background that local "trick-or-treaters" heard when they came knocking at my open door.
-It is still on, downstairs, but I'm also watching a re-run of Chef Ramsay's "Kitchen Nightmares".
-Oh God, please bring back "Hell's Kitchen" SOON!!!!
-I like Kitchen Nightmares, but why the rerun, and on Halloween of all nights?
-I beg FOX to stop screwing with Chef Ramsay's original nightmares.
-'Nuff said.
Bram Stoker's Dracula is what I'll be watching when I get around to dinner.
-Sometime after Kitchen Nightmares.
I just finished "Batman Begins". -Faaaaantastic flick! -I look forward to the Batman release next summer!
Now, for "Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight".
I hope you are enjoying this Halloween at least as much as I am!
-Do be good-natured, and safe in your endeavors tonight!
Edited 2 times. -Once, because I forgot the pictures... (D'oh!)
I don't really celebrate Halloween, but nothing really against it. -It just isn't my thing. Sure, I like the costumes and things that people come up with, but I just don't do it.
Nope, I'm more likely to vege out in front of the tv with some popcorn, a Mountain Dew and a stack of good movies. Besides, the lady's at work tonight. I narrowed down my choices to 10 movie titles.
ha ha ha -There's NO way I could possibly sit and watch all ten of them tonight. -Probably more like three, maybe four.
My Halloween movie lineup of three or four will be chosen from these 10 titles this year, and some of why they were chosen is as follows:
1) An American Werewolf In London (Werewolf)
2) Ravenous (Cannibals)
3) Batman Begins (Scarecrow, Bats and the illusion of Saten)
4) Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight (Demons)
5) Tales From The Crypt: Bordello Of Blood (Vampires)
6) Lord Of Illusions (Magicians, Evil raised from the dead)
7) Dawn Of The Dead (2004) (walking dead)
8) Bram Stoker's Dracula (Lord Of Vampires)
9) Wishmaster (evil Djinn)
10) Sleepy Hollow (headless horseman -Johnny Depp version)
The four I'm going to settle with are:
1) Batman Begins
2) Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight
3) Lord Of Illusions (Director's Cut)
4) Bram Stoker's Dracula
That should keep me busy for a little while, eh?
Happy Halloween to you all, and be safe!!!
Rob Zombie's "Halloween" was pretty much what I expected (more graphic language, more graphic violence) and more.
He spent a little more time developing the story of Michael Meyers' beginning, which is just what this series needed.
I got to watch it last night (Tuesday night 8/28/07)
Without giving any spoilers, I'll say that the nurse's slo-motion murder was a little more drawn out than it needed to be, and it was almost irritating with the sirens going off. Plus, I hated the ending I saw.
However, the version I saw may not be the version they'll be showing this Friday night when it's officially released. I say that because the tv ads are showing some cool clips that weren't in the version I saw.
Outside of that, I enjoyed this.
Now, I'm looking forward to the release of Resident Evil: Extinction, due out next month!
