Excitement, Turned To Disappointment, Turned...
I've been excitedly waiting for my copy of Rush: "Retrospective III" CD and DVD to arrive. It's actual release date is tomorrow, March 3rd 2009, but I got it today!
I placed my order just as quickly as I got the E-Mail about it, but disappointingly, I still wasn't among the first 100 orders, so my lithograph wasn't signed after all.
-Oddly, it wasn't numbered either.
I sent an E-Mail to Atlantic Records to find out why it wasn't numbered. I should have an answer by tomorrow I'm sure...
Happy, yet disappointed at the same time... -Yep, that's me.
I'm glad the DVD contained some of their music videos that I've never seen before like "Stick It Out", "Nobody's Hero", "Half The World", "Superconductor", and "Malignant Narcissism".
Despite my disappointment over the lithograph, it is an enjoyable CD/DVD set, and it is worth adding to your Rush library!

-I'm a critic.
Fans read their personal blogs (as life and tymes permit), respond to them and are deserving of advance notice/shipment, even if it is one day.
-Speaking of fans... YOU are ONE of only three who will receive my CD "Some Things I've Said" before I post any of it here!!! + yours will be one of a kind.
-As for Rush, who is totally against so-called "free downloads", they can rest assured that anything of theirs or my oieces of music, or video, that I've chosen to post here (in tribute, of course) IS NOT DOWNLOADABLE from MY page here! -It is merely a chance for some future "fan" to have some sort of access to their teachings. -Or musical teachings, I should say... -Denied, as I was back then..., I WANT them to hear something cool, at least once.
-NO ONE can download ANY songs from here, BUT they are available for listen.
Of course I'm a fan!!! -

It is a lovely set, but I'd hoped for a small bit better than what I got.
Then, again...
